I’m Wai Ting (慧婷, my Chinese first name), an artist living in Wellington, New Zealand. I love travelling, photography, nature, food and good stories. 

I often felt that my mind is a ‘bullet train’ going 300km/h and almost veering off track. I discovered I'm neurodivergent after looking into my sleeplessness and restlessness. After the passing of my grandparent and my cat in 2021, I began searching for a new hobby to regain focus and calm my mind. That was when pottery entered my life. Now my bullet train takes me on my creative journey. I have always drawn inspiration from my travels, life experiences, and nature around me. Those moments have shaped me and I hold them dearly in my heart.

About my mark:

"Dim (點)" is a Traditional Chinese character that means ‘a little bit’ or ‘a small dot’. It holds a special place in my heart because my younger sister and I call each other "Dim Dim (點點)" since we were in elementary school. We loved role-playing cartoon characters and doodling on the walls. When I was deciding on a signature for my works, my sister suggested "Dim Dim" because she knows this nickname holds a dear place in my heart and it represents the creative side of me.
